Visitor Restrictions Due to Coronavirus and the Flu
Visitors Guidelines
Our patients may designate visitors of their choosing, including a person to be present for emotional support during the course of the patient's stay whether or not the visitor is related by blood or marriage, unless no visitors are allowed. We may restrict visitation privileges to ensure the health and safety of patients, staff and visitors. Health facilities are not permitted to restrict, limit or otherwise deny visitation privileges on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability.
We recommend limiting the children visiting the hospital. The hospital allows children up to 16 years of age with an adult (at least 18 yrs. old) supervision only.
If you have a flu/ fever/ other signs of infection, we advise you to refrain from visiting the hospital.
At most 2 visitors are allowed at a given time.
Only one visitor is allowed to stay overnight with the patient.
Charge per hour is 20 AED. Ticket can be collected from security at basement 1.
For all planned cases, Customer service executive shall inform you a day prior on date and time of arrival. Please carry your Emirates ID, all available medical reports and insurance card for the admission process.
Room categories offered are Deluxe/ Single/ Twin Sharing room. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and are fully furnished with telephones, mini-fridge and multi-channel satellite television. All rooms have a sofa bed to accommodate one person for an overnight stay.

It is best to pack a suitcase two weeks in advance, including pre-washed nursing bras, baby vests, baby gowns, mittens and wrapping blankets. You should provide copies of passport with visa page, Emirates ID and marriage certificate with UAE attestation (both parents) at the time of admission, failing which provision of birth certificate may be delayed. Incase of NICU admission for the baby, please contact the billing department as the standard maternity packages do not include these charges.
All admitted patients need to wear hospital wrist ID band clearly stating their full names and UHIDs to ensure identification. Make use of the call bell system at bedside and in all bathrooms in case of assistance.
Wards- Saturday to Thursday- 10 Am to 12 PM, 6PM to 8 PM Friday- 10 AM to 8 PM. ICU- Morning 7-8 AM Evening 6-7 PM NICU (Only mother and father are allowed) – Morning 9-10 AM Evening 5-6 PM
Certain areas have controlled access to maintain patient safety and privacy. In order to access these areas, please use the bell at entrance.
No animals are permitted to enter the hospital premises.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the hospital premises.
Please wash your hand or use our hand sanitizer available in the hospital premise to ensure infection control.
Meals are included in the room charge. Arabic, Asian & Continental variety of food is available from the nutrition & dietary service. Vegetarian preferences and other special diets (therapeutic diet as per physician’s order or according to patient’s clinical condition) are also catered for. Meals and refreshments for the guests are available in OLIVE Diner or Breathe Cafe.
The hospital provides dressing gowns, bedroom slippers and toiletries. The hospital is under CCTV surveillance. However, we highly recommend leaving valuables and jewellery at home or handing over to your family.

Self-paying Patients-Expenses not covered by insurance plans will have to be settled by the patient via cash or credit card.
Insured Patients-Aster Hospital is empaneled with the top insurance companies for providing medical cover: Dubai Insurance, Amity, Nowhealth, pentacare, NGI, Health360, Wapmed, Nextcare, Oman, Al Madallah, Interglobal, Mednet, Allianz, AXA, Al Khazna, Saico, Adnic, NAS,Alico, National Life & General,Neuron, MSH, Symphony,Daman (H4267). Expenses not covered by insurance plans will have to be settled by the patient by cash or credit card.
Families are requested to arrange for home clothes, transport and finances for the planned day of discharge. The discharge summary and instructions including medication, follow up details other advice will be explained and handed over to the patient. The discharge process typically takes 3 hours or less from the time of confirmation by treating doctor.
